I absolutely love single purpose tools. This set made getting the fan clutch off incredibly easy and as such I’m actually ahead of schedule (for once!). Hopefully the rest of the work will go as smoothly and I’ll have a functioning manual E39 by the end of the day Saturday.
In any case I’m calling it for today. Goodnight oppo

I believe that’s a 32mm and also works on inner tie rod ends. Not much space there so the low profile of that wrench comes in Handy. ;)

Gracias! I’ll keep that in mind.

Hmmmm... I wonder if theres a ford one. Hopefully without the fan clutch wrench, I already have one of those.

Yeah I damaged my pulley using locking pliers to hold it :(

Yeah, that’s what i was trying to avoid. And since the tool was so cheap in my case there really wasn’t a reason to do it any other way.

You might be able to get by with a universal holder (depending on how fords are set up), I use one of these for most of my motorcycles

I had a universal holder, but it was a one bolt design. It broke btw in the process of getting the fan clutch off, I did get it off though.

I ordered the tool along with a new pulley. At least I’ll have it now
